“The present TYPE-MOON is crazy. Anyway, something’s off.”
So spoke the man who appeared before Satsuki and the others living in the back alley.
The man’s name was Emiya Shirou. He was a producer who shouldered half of the authority in the TYPE-MOON world.
Having problems with the current heroine system, he insisted it be changed to a rotation setup to “make everyone happier”, and, before long, had seized power.
Similar to the tricks used against top idols, he’d been forced to resign.
Honing in on Satsuki, who possessed the power of a bronze-ranked heroine, he proposed she battle alongside him.
Satsuki was skeptical, but Shirou-P told her that it was possible to change the system if she journeyed to the center of the TV world.
Swept away by Shion’s smooth talking and Shirou’s desperate heroism, Satsuki rebelled against the industry.
“This is for all those heroines whose day never came…!”
Guided by that slogan, the three bronze heroines Satsuki, Shion and Ries left the back alley and began their journey.
Their goal was the distant sanctuary of the Lunar TV Zodiacs.
Satsuki et al. plowed through the black and silver heroines who came to fight them, and, after working various part-time jobs to pay for travel expenses,
finally arrived at the Zodiacs’ sanctuary.
[Satsuki] “We did it, we’re here! With this, we won’t have to travel anymore, either! I guess all that’s left is for Shirou-san to do something
protagonist-like overnight! This whole time, he hasn’t shut up once about all that ally of justice stuff!”
Satsuki was optimistic that things would be resolved once they had escorted Shirou-P there.
However, right before the gates to the Zodiacs, Shirou-P was assassinated by a mysterious assassin (Hassa-ko).
The last words of Shirou-P, who had so easily fallen, were “why me?”
[Satsuki] “Oh well. Shirou-san ended up being killed, huh. I guess that’s that, then.”
Satsuki et al. figured they would just go home, since this was all an unrelated matter to them.
However, the assassin Hassa-ko blocked their path.
“Not another step! You rebels who came here today hoping to be able to change fate, I will not allow you to meddle with the Zodiacs!”
So spoke Hassa-ko, who divulged secret information and the like without even being asked.
Getting carried away, she told them of the rule whereby any type of heroine can become a gold heroine on April 1st by breaking through the Zodiacs and
making it to the top floor (furthermore, when a new gold heroine is created, a random existing gold heroine is demoted).
While this immediately motivated Shion and Ries, Satsuki, who was afraid of fighting, remained indecisive.
[Satsuki] “Let’s give up on such a dangerous thing and just quietly go back to the back alley, okay?”
Satsuki looked up at Shion, trying to persuade her.
But it was already too late. Riesbyfe, the knight of fists, had beaten Hassa-ko to death.
[Satsuki] “KYAAA! A heroine shouldn’t do such gory things! Even if we’re on late night (12 AM), you could hold back at the last second!
Ries-san, why were you so merciless to an opponent like that?!”
[Ries] “Don’t worry, an assassin’s life doesn’t count as human. More importantly, Satsuki, take a look at this.”
Riesbyfe revealed a video image she had looted from Hassa-ko’s body.
It showed the Zodiacs’ top floor in 3D, with the Greater Grail as the TV station’s core.
And the other top producer, Shiki, had been thrown inside!
[Satsuki] “L-let’s go, everyone…! This is scary, but we have to save Tohno-kun!”
[Sion] “Getting a golden rank while also getting the man closest to your heart… good, Satsuki. That’s exactly how a heroine should be.”
[Ries] “Erm… I can’t really get behind that ultimate goal, but I guess it’s all well and good since it’s gotten Satsuki all fired up.”
[Ciel] “Yes, let’s kill them all quickly. What is with all that top idol stuff, huh?”
[Heroine X] “It is the way in which the overabundance of heroines are grouped. Eliminating those of Saber-rank is under my jurisdiction.”
Before they’d realized it, their number of reliable allies had increased.
“Huh? Who are these people?” Satsuki et al. were filled with confusion as they began to run.
Their goal was the top floor, the location of the Greater Grail.
Fight on, Back Alley idols, to seize your place as golden heroines!
